Jennifer Lopez won’t officially be single for some time, but insiders reveal one high-profile star is already hoping for his chance to date the pop singer and actress.

Jennifer shocked her fans on Tuesday when she filed to divorce her husband Ben Affleck just over two years after they tied the knot.

According to documents obtained by DailyMail.com.

But as she looks to legally end her union to Ben after months of faking a healthy marriage despite already being separated.

One former fling is allegedly hoping she will give him another try.

The chart-topping rapper Drake, 37, is pining for a chance at love with Jennifer, a source recently told In Touch.

‘Of course Drake isn’t going to hook up with her while she’s still married,’ the insider clarified.

Instead, they claimed the hitmaker would wait for the divorce process to be resolved before making his move.

‘He’d never cross that line. But once things are officially done with [Ben Affleck], he’ll be ready and waiting to show her a good time.’

Drake and JLo were briefly an item back in 2016, and he allegedly thinks the fact that the relationship didn’t get very far along could be an asset in his favor.

‘Jennifer’s always been one of Drake’s biggest crushes and he says that what they shared all those years ago was incredible,’ the source explained. ‘He never pushed for more then, but everyone knows he would have loved to seriously date her.’

They also claimed that Jennifer still ‘knows [Drake is] an option,’ as the Hotline Bling rapper has ‘dropped enough hints’ to friends and influential people since their split.

The insider said that the Out Of Sight star isn’t looking to ‘turn back the clock’ by getting back together with a former lover, but ‘Drake may have a shot because they never got serious.’

They added that Jennifer was likely to have a swarm of eligible bachelors hoping to date her now that her separation from Ben has been made official.

‘There’s no way she’ll stay single for long,’ they opined. ‘And a fling with Drake could be really good for her.’

Jennifer and Drake appeared to confirm their blink-and-you’ll-miss-it fling in 2016 when she posted a photo in December of that year showing him embracing her on a sofa as she wrapped her arms around him.

Later that month, they were seen showing off some major PDA at a prom-themed party in Las Vegas.

Videos of the event, which was billed as the Winter WonderLand Prom, showed the two dancing, including some raunchy clips of Jennifer appearing to grind on the Euphoria producer.

Other clips showed the two leaning in for an intimate kiss.

By the end of the night, they were even crowned prom king and queen.

Jennifer’s recently reunited BFF Leah Remini was among the partygoers, as was Drake’s dad, Dennis Graham.

Things seemed to heat up, to the point that the usually private Hustlers star admitted that she and Drake were ‘hanging out’ in February of 2017.

However, she wasn’t willing to offer up any other specifics about their relationship.

By March of that year she revealed that they were no longer a thing.

‘Let me clear this up. I am not with Drake,’ she told host Trevor Noah on The Daily Show, adding, ‘Maybe that’s all I need to say.’

Jennifer will still have plenty of work ahead to close the latest chapter of her life with Ben.

The two reportedly have a combined net worth of $640 million, and they do not have a prenuptial agreement guiding how they will split their property in a divorce.

Notably, Jennifer filed the paperwork herself, and she did not have an attorney listed as representing her, indicating that she was representing herself, though she will likely have an attorney listed in the future.

In court docs, Lopez said she was waiving spousal support and requested the court not give Affleck any either, according to the outlet.

Lopez and Affleck ‘have been trying to hash out a settlement for months,’ according to the outlet, adding that insiders said that the negotiations have been ‘increasingly acrimonious’ at times, with the two not taking to one another directly.

Lopez filed the documents on the two-year anniversary of their nuptials at Affleck’s estate outside of Savannah, Georgia on August 20, 2022.

Lopez and Affleck made headlines in 2021 when they rekindled their romance, nearly 17 years after calling off their original engagement and postponing their September 2003 wedding.

They officially parted ways in January 2004 but stayed on good terms over the years.

In April 2021, reports surfaced that the musician and the Oscar-winning director were reconnecting after Lopez’s breakup with former MLB star Alex Rodriguez.

The couple confirmed their relationship on Instagram that July and made their red carpet return at the 2021 Venice Film Festival.

In April 2022, Lopez confirmed her engagement to Affleck.

They exchanged vows at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022.

‘In the end it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined,’ Lopez said in her newsletter On the JLo on July 17, 2022. ‘One we dreamed of long ago and one made very real (in the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and one another) at very, very, long last.’

The couple again exchanged vows at Affleck’s estate outside of Savannah, Georgia on August 20, 2022, two years to the day prior to Lopez’s divorce filing Tuesday.

The guest list included Matt Damon, Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, and Hollywood talent agent Patrick Whitesell.

The ceremony was officiated by podcaster and life coach Jay Shetty.

Jennifer has 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, from her marriage to Marc Anthony, which lasted from 2004 to 2014.

Affleck, who was married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, has three children with her: 18-year-old Violet, 15-year-old Fin, and 12-year-old Samuel.
