Emmerdale is set for explosive scenes this September.
The hit ITV soap has released a new dramatic trailer teasing the upcoming drama, where it’s revealed that lives will hang in the balance as a devastating barn fire rages with people trapped inside. A synopsis teases: “Moira (Natalie J Robb) hasn’t been acting herself recently, but when Cain (Jeff Hordley) questions her behaviour her reaction ignites a devastating chain of events.
“Nate (Jurell Carter) and Tracy’s (Amy Walsh) relationship seems to be back on track, but will it all come crashing down before their fresh new start can even begin? And elsewhere, Belle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper) torment from husband Tom (James Chase) continues. As he tightens his emotional grip will she be able to get the help she so desperately needs?”
In the explosive trailer, it sees Moira – who has been sparking concern lately – attempt to kiss stepson Nate who firmly pushes her away. Soap fans will recall that the duo previously had an affair years ago when Nate first moved to the village, which left Moira’s marriage to Cain in jeopardy. The trio have since managed to put the events behind them but it appears the storyline is revisited in the new explosive September trailer.
Following Moira’s shock move on Nate, it’s revealed in the trailer that Cain’s brother Caleb Milligan has witnessed the surprise kiss as he’s heard saying: “I saw Moira with Nate kissing…” Yet that’s the least of their worries as Moira is then seen holding a gun in the farm barn with petrol spilt before she shoots at a lamp. Cain is then seen arriving at the farm as he shouts his wife’s name in panic.
While details are being kept under wraps, the trailer ends with a deadly blaze that leaves fan favourites facing death and battling to save their loved ones. As the fire rages it isn’t clear who is injured and if someone will die, but given the show’s history with killing people off in huge stunts could soap fans be saying goodbye to some of their favourites?
“It will be dramatic and explosive and will go down in Emmerdale history. It won’t be one to miss. Jurell has loved being on the soap but he’s a young actor and it’s understandable he wants to spread his wings. He’s got a lot of talent – not to mention the looks – to become a big star and leaving the soap is the only way he can do that. Five years is a good run but he feels it’s time.”
