Recently in Emmerdale, Jimmy King (Nick Miles) was taken aback when an inspector arrived at his haulage business ready for some impromptu tests.

The man wanted to check the tachographs, a device that’s fitted onto lorries to record speed, distance, driving time, and to ensure the driver takes the right amount of rest.

The inspector said that after checking the books, Jimmy had gone over the allotted driving time.

Somewhat taken aback, Jimmy was fearful when the inspector delivered a fine and revealed he has 28 days to pay it.

Back at home, Jimmy updated Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) and admitted he hadn’t been entirely honest with recording his own drives, because he’s been doing a few more on the sly to earn extra cash and also distract himself from Angel’s (Rebecca Bakes) absence.

Disappointed, Nicola was left wondering how on earth they were going to pay the very hefty bill.

Meanwhile, in the village, the inspector pulled up alongside Caleb (William Ash). He was pleased with the plan and prepared to pay the man £500. He then got quite cocky, however, and tried to tell Caleb he deserves £1k instead.

It was confirmed that same week that Caleb is busy developing a new empire right now, and needs some lorries for his new business. Because the haulage firm is co-owned by Kim’s (Claire King) partner, sabotaging it seemed like a perfect idea.

In this new video, Will, Jimmy and Aaron (Danny Miller) are discussing the red diesel they can smell all over the land after another bad meeting with an inspector. This form of fuel is incredibly cheap and not able to be used in a vehicle on a public road. It is considered a tax evasion and illegal.

So yes, this hasn’t helped Jimmy and Will’s company at all.

Accusations fly around as Will reckons someone is trying to sabotage the business but Jimmy and Aaron meanwhile, struggle to believe him.

He’s certainly right – but what else will Caleb do before the company is completely destroyed?
