Emmerdale viewers think Tom King’s looming downfall will be triggered by an unlikely character.
Viewers are convinced one character is about to make an alarming discovery that will expose Tom’s vile and controlling behaviour. One unexpected resident could see Tom’s dark side, leading to Belle Dingle’s abusive husband finally being exposed.
Fans of the ITV soap have seen horrifying scenes with the soap tackling a domestic abuse plot. After months of coercively controlling Belle, isolating her and manipulating her, not to mention stalking her, Tom later turned violent.
With Belle leaving her abuser, things escalated this week after he began spying on her after setting up cameras in the house, including her bedroom and bathroom. If that wasn’t sickening enough, Tom deliberately ran over and killed her beloved dog Piper leaving viewers switching off the show.
With Belle finally realising what he’s capable of and fearing for her life, realising what he’d done to Piper, she’s now desperate to make others see what’s going on. But with her recent mental health battle, she’s had a tough time proving Tom’s antics to anyone.
Viewers think they have rumbled who will help Belle though, and who will be the one to take him down. While Charity Dingle has made it clear she’s onto Tom, fans do not think it will be her or Belle who finally exposes him.
Instead, fans are convinced his aunt Nicola King, who he currently lives with, will be the one to see him for who he is. Viewers are predicting she will catch him spying on Belle, with him constantly watching the feeds on his phone having delivered the equipment initially to Nicola’s house.
Could she work out what was delivered, and might she see him watching Belle? One fan posted online: “I think it could be Nicola .. she sees the nasty side of him.” Another asked: “Is it true Nicola is gonna catch Tom out?”
A third fan theorised: “I heard that catches him and sees something and tells the Dingles,” while a fourth fan wrote: “She is curious as to why he locks his bedroom door so lets herself in and apparently there is a TV and other things with the surveillance of Belle.” Another fan posted: “Spoiler alert, I heard Nicola discovers he is watching Belle and wants him out of the house because of Angel coming home soon. Hope she tells Belle and the Dingles what’s going on they need too know.”
