General Hospital spoilers for Tuesday, August 20, focus on characters making promises, devising strategies, and opening up. Oh, and it must be a day ending in “Y” because John loses his cool.

Candid Niva

One of GH’s casualties of 2024 is the friendship between Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Ava (Maura West). Sure, the two have a complicated past, but they overcame all that madness and developed into one of the show’s standout friend connections. Unfortunately, betrayal and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) got in the way, and ultimately, they severed their relationship.

Well, with Sonny basically out of their lives, Nina and Ava suddenly have an honest talk. Could this be the first step in resurrecting this dead friendship? Or will it further shatter their connection permanently?

The Revenge Corner

What can he do about it? He can make yet another promise to Kristina (Kate Mansi). Unfortunately for him, he can’t follow through on permanently making Ms. Jerome pay. So, what does this latest promise entail?

Meanwhile, something must happen that seriously upsets John (Adam Harrington) because he absolutely his cool for the umpteenth time. Does something happen to his case against Kristina?

Strategizing and Opening Up

Presumably, whatever is going on with Lulu will take up most of Laura’s attention for the foreseeable future. Look for Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and Laura (Genie Francis) to strategize, hopefully about what she finds out about her daughter. Does this also involve attempting to search for her son and get Lucky

Finally, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) will undoubtedly have Lulu on his mind when he opens up to Sam (Kelly Monaco). What will he tell her about his feelings for what’s going on with his ex? Furthermore, how will Sam 1) support Dante during this time and 2) react to what he tells her? This is about to become a delicate situation.
