Kelly Ripa has something to learn from Kate Winslet.

The Lee star was featured on Friday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, where Mark Consuelos pointed out how she has “had so many accents in [her] performances.”

“They look flawless,” he gushed.

Ripa noted that the British actress’ American accents are “particularly good” and “very nuanced.”

“You do accents that particularly are almost impossible for people to do who are outside of the area where they come from,” Ripa highlighted.

Winslet claimed she was aware of that, teasing that she is “the person doing it and [she] really find[s] it impossible.”

“I love doing accents and you can never stop learning,” she shared. “There’s always a new challenge and something new. I get a bit of a kick out of it, but I’m a little bit obsessed about it.”

She argued that she “should be good at them,” as she’s “been doing them since [she] was 21.”

“I mean, that would be a problem if I couldn’t do an American accent by now,” she continued.

However, Ripa could not say the same for herself.

“I’ve been doing fake British accents my entire life, and I’m still… s*** at it,” she teased, being censored in the process.

Consuelos quipped, “They call it a hate crime.”

Ripa replied, “Yes, exactly. My accents have been called hate crimes.”

Winslet sympathized, “Oh no, that’s not very nice.”
