Kelly Ripa called out Mark Consuelos for taking one of their sons to Hooters for a “playdate” when the boy was young.
Consuelos was talking about how “proud” he was that the notoriously busty chain restaurant is based in his home state of Florida when Ripa interrupted her husband to scold him on “Live with Kelly and Mark” Tuesday.
“I remember when you took our son to Hooters!” she shouted.

Consuelos was talking about how “proud” he was that the notoriously busty chain restaurant is based in his home state of Florida when Ripa interrupted her husband to scold him on “Live with Kelly and Mark” Tuesday.
“I remember when you took our son to Hooters!” she shouted.
“I’m not kidding!” she clarified. “The two dads took the sons to Hooters!”
Ripa recalled her husband and son later coming home and “reeking of cigarette smoke.”
“I was like, ‘Did you guys sit in the smoking section?’ They were like, ‘The whole place was the smoking section,’” she recalled.
Consuelos then finally shared his side of the story — and blamed the other child’s father.
“Well, it wasn’t like my go-to hangout,” he argued. “It was solidified by the fact he said, ‘We’re gonna go take the kids out to eat chicken wings.’ I said, ‘Sure.’ He was driving, and then we pulled into Hooters.”
The former “All My Children” co-stars eventually laughed off the whole ordeal and agreed that Consuelos was OK with “blaming the other dad.”
Ripa and the “Riverdale” alum, who have been married since 1996, share sons Michael, 27, and Joaquin, 21, as well as daughter Lola, 23.
Michael currently resides in New York City and works for his mom’s friend Andy Cohen on the “Real Housewives” franchise, while Lola is focused on her music career in London with her boyfriend.
Joaquin, for his part, studies at the University of Michigan, and his Emmy-winning parents visit him at school whenever they can.
