Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have earned a lot of fame over the years for being one of the most realistic couples in the entire entertainment industry, married for nearly 3 decades. While their social media handles are more than enough to keep fans updated about their personal lives, their talk show further poses the perfect platform as they get candid about anything and everything.

For the record, and for those who may not know, this ‘anything and everything’ includes the two of them being un-hesitantly vocal about their s-x lives on more than one occasion as well. During one of these very events of discussing their intimate lives, Ripa acknowledged a harsh truth about s-x and was still adamant about following her rule, which quite literally rivaled this fact.
Kelly Ripa Acknowledged a Harsh Truth About “Pleasurable” Intimacy
While Ripa and Consuelos have been pretty open about their s-x life publicly, the 53-year-old actress recently confessed a rule that the couple follow before getting intimate. This confession, which could leave many in shock, has something to do with food. Apparently, Kelly Ripa is totally against eating before doing the deed with her nearly three-decades-long husband.

But while this confession is surprising, it also perfectly rivals a study that Ripa shared with the audience in an episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, which said (via Decider), “For more pleasurable s-x, you should eat first.” That said, the All My Children alum also went on to jokingly admit to her own shortcomings, saying: “Apparently I’ve been doing it wrong all these years.”

Continuing to point out how “food and s-x are two of life’s greatest pleasures, and science says that they are better together,” she further emphasized the report’s claim that “soft caresses don’t feel as satisfying if you’re hungry. There’s a gut hormone that drives food motivation and increases [in] food intake was intrinsically linked to levels of pleasure.”

That said, Mark Consuelos‘ wife also inevitably admitted that, according to science and the reports, “it’s better to eat before you are intimate.” But even when all of these factors and connections proved her treatment of the matter apparently incorrect, Ripa was still as adamant as ever about following her strict policy.
That’s not all; the Hope & Faith actress even went on to publicly confess just how “bummed out” the Riverdale actor tends to get every time she unhesitantly orders more than just a salad on their date night!
Kelly Ripa is Still as Adamant as Ever About Following Her Rule
During the same episode, Kelly Ripa went on to share more about her strict rule and Mark Consuelos’ reaction to it, saying, “Now you know, I have a very strict no eating thing before. He knows if we go out to dinner, and I order more than a sensible salad, he’s all bummed out. He gets bummed. He’s like, ‘Are you sure you want the burger?’ I’m like, ‘I’m absolutely positive.’”

And yet, even though she did acknowledge how Consuelos “gets very sad about it” and that she had apparently been doing it all wrong all along as per the study, the talk show host was still not sold on the idea of eating before getting intimate. To say the least, fans might as well not expect her to take this study seriously as she will still be “sticking with [her] salad.”
Live with Kelly and Mark can be streamed on Fubo TV and DirecTV Stream.
